The ascent is particularly enjoyable in spring or late autumn, when the trail is quieter and the sun is not yet beating down quite so relentlessly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone planning to climb the Trisselwand in midsummer should set off as early as possible to avoid getting roasted on the way up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"#technik\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#technik\">Technical Difficulty, Fitness and Footwear<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#parkplatz\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#parkplatz\">Parking \u2014 Starting Point of the Tour<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#aufstieg\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#aufstieg\">Ascent (including GPX track)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#gipfel\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#gipfel\">Trisselwand Summit<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#abstieg\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#abstieg\">Descent and Return Route<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#sonnenexposition\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#sonnenexposition\">Sun Exposure<br><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"technik\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical Difficulty, Fitness and Footwear<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-995f960e wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From a technical perspective, the hike is not particularly difficult and is rated T2 (moderate) throughout. For this hike, however, I opted for standard hiking boots, as they seemed the most sensible choice given the trail conditions described above \u2013 particularly for the descent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At a brisk pace, the ascent took me around 1 hour and 40 minutes, while the descent took about 1 hour and 25 minutes. here, but the more exposed sections are secured with railings and steel cables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I only needed to use some of these aids later during the If you miss the signpost and simply continue straight ahead, you may end up on Trail No. 234 \u2013 and facing the long slog to the Albert-Appel-Haus.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"gipfel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">At the Summit of the Trisselwand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-995f960e wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the final few meters, the trail becomes somewhat steeper again before you finally reach the flat summit plateau and the Trisselwand summit cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But be careful: appearances can be deceiving. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now it is time to sign the summit logbook \u2013 which was present as of May 2026 \u2013 enjoy a snack and, in clear weather, take in even more phenomenal along the same marked trail that I had previously followed on the ascent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"sonnenexposition\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sun Exposure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ascent follows a south-facing slope almost the entire way. Although the trail initially passes through sections of forest, even there it can become surprisingly hot on sunny spring mornings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Higher up, there is barely any shade and you are almost entirely exposed to the sun.
